Getting started
The setup wizard runs inside Pipedrive, in this order. Most workspaces are through it in under 10 minutes; business verification is the one step with a wait (see step 6).
1. Connect Pipedrive
Install the app from the Pipedrive Marketplace and authorise it against your Pipedrive account. This is the only step that needs a Pipedrive admin.
2. Set up your phone account
We create an isolated phone account for your workspace with fraud-protection limits switched on automatically — nothing to configure here.
3. Configure call & SMS logging
We map your calls and texts to Pipedrive’s built-in activity type, so nothing needs a custom field or a Pipedrive admin scope grant.
4. Verify your business number
Enter the number your business already uses. We call it and read out a 6-digit code — type the code back in to confirm it’s really your line before we let it act as your caller ID.
5. Plan your numbers
Choose which country and number type you want (for example, a UK mobile number that can also send texts). You reserve the kind of number here; you pick the exact number later.
6. Business verification
Some countries (the UK included) require your business details on file with the number provider before a number can go fully live — typically a 1–5 business day review. Outbound calling works while you wait; inbound unlocks automatically once it’s approved.
7. Get your numbers
Once your number plan is ready, pick the exact number from the available list and it’s provisioned to your workspace.
8. Make your first call
A guided, safe test call to make sure everything’s wired up before you take a real one.
9. Invite your team
Add teammates so calls can ring more than one person and everyone’s activity lands on the right Pipedrive contact.
